Unilumin, the Shenzhen, China-based provider of UHD videowall systems, rental and DOOH solutions, showcased its virtual production solutions at NAB 2023. At its booth, Unilumin presented four scenes featuring its virtual production, broadcast solutions, COB technology and LED videowalls. The exhibition featured stunning visual effects that highlighted the seamless fusion of virtual and real worlds.
During the four-day exhibition, Unilumin collaborated with Vū Technologies’ virtual studio network, and 32 other industry partners to host 23 speeches and interviews on the virtual production stage at Unilumin’s booth. Topics on the virtual stage covered the virtual production process, including hardware, software, products and solutions. According to Unilumin, the booth attracted experts in systems, production, photography, game development and more. All gathered together and discussed the future trends in the industry. Notable speakers at the site included Morgan Prygrocki from Adobe, Tim Moo from Vū, and Connor Murphy from The Third Floor. Many companies, including Sony, Amazon Web Services, and PIXERA, provided support. The combination of high-profile speeches and stunning stage effects made Unilumin’s booth a popular destination for attendees, resulting in a lively and bustling atmosphere, says Unilumin.
Unilumin Solutions Across the NAB Exhibit Hall
The stage was constructed using Unilumin’s UpadIV, UDF, and UMicro series LED displays as the wall screen, floor screen and fold-back screen. It is situated above a gentle stream, backed by green mountains. The speakers, while on the stage, with the combination of virtual and real visual effects on the fold-back screen created a synergistic effect.
Unilumin provided its Unano narrow pixel pitch displays and matching solutions to other booths, such as Vū/MRMC, Magicbox, and Brainstorm. One of the highlights of the event was the Unreal Ride experience at the Vū/MRMC booth, where Unilumin’s Unano created an immersive virtual scene. The participants were surrounded by periodic smoke and fog, and the wind accompanied them at appropriate speeds. The background changed to different scenes of passion and speed, offering a four-dimensional interactive immersive experience.
Magicbox garnered a lot of attention with its mobile broadcasting studio, which is a traveling studio that can show events from around the world without being limited to a fixed location. Unilumin’s small-pitch Unano, the winner of the Reddot Award 2019 Best of the Best, was highly regarded by partners for its high-definition visual effects, ease of installation, and low maintenance requirements. It played an important role in the mobile broadcasting studio solution.
At the Brainstorm booth, Unilumin Unano 1.8 functioned as the wall screen, building the XR stage and delivering an immersive and engaging experience.
With the theme “Metasight Ecology, Enlightening the Future,” the exhibition has come to an end, but the excitement still lingers, says Unilumin. The company plans to expand its Metasight, integrated hardware, software, content and interactive solutions to create more opportunities and possibilities for its partners and customers.
