JVC Visual Systems Launches Line of Hybrid Laser Projectors

Video manufacturer JVC Visual Systems has announced a new line of BLU-Escent laser projectors that require less maintenance than traditional lamp projectors and support 4k resolution.

JVC Professional‘s line of products are well established in the residential and commercial market’s for the quality of images its LCoS-based D-ILA projectors produce.

The Skinny: Bolstering the company’s line of projection solutions, JVC’s Visual Systems has announced its BLU-Escent line of laser-hybrid projectors.

The Specs: JVC Pro explains the laser-hybrid products are designed for rigorous applications and provide users a choice of solutions that requires less maintenance than traditional lamp-based projector products.

“The simulation and training industry has been eager to see projection solutions that offer exceptionable image quality with long life and a reasonable price point,” says Jack Faiman, senior vice president, JVC Visual Systems Division. “We think the DLA-VS2500 and DLA-VS2300 perfectly hit this sweet spot.”

The line includes four models:

  • DLA-VS2300G fixed lens
  • DLA-VS2300ZG zoom lens
  • DLA-VS2500G e-Shift optional fixed lens
  • DLA-VS2500ZG e-Shift zoom lens

JVC Pro says the DLA-VS2500 and DLA-VS2300 use three, 0.7-inch 1920×1080 D-ILA chips. The VS2500 comes equipped with JVC’s e-Shift technology that shifts the image by a half pixel in the diagonal direction at 120Hz to provide a 3840 x 2160 (UltraHD) resolution.

Solutions: The DLA-VS2500 and DLA-VS2300 are said to be the first three-chip laser hybrid projectors specifically designed for simulation, and JVC Pro points out the products have been designed to meet FAA Level D and ICAO regulatory requirements.
