85-Inch Diamond Series is JVC’s Biggest 4K TV Yet

Published: 2014-11-24

When it comes to Ultra HD 4K TV, bigger is always better. That’s why AmTRAN Video Corp. is introducing the JVC-TV Diamond Series Ultra HD 85-inch DM85UXR, the company’s largest 4K TV to date.

Of course, the hook on the DM85UXR is that it can deliver a 3840 x 2160 resolution, which is four times the image of a full HDTV. It even has UHD upscaling technology for boosting some of that “old” HD content.

Another nice perk is that this set comes packaged with the Roku Streaming Stick, which allows users to start streaming about 1,500 channels of web-based content right out of the package. (Just know that some channels require a fee and/or subscription.)

The set includes direct LED backlight and 10-bit color for accurate color reproduction, as well as 64 zones of local dimming to adjust backlighting scene-by-scene. Other features include CrystalMotion Pro technology, XinemaSound 3D sound. built-in Wi-Fi, a double-sided remote with a full QWERTY keypad, four HDMI inputs, and a slim bezel.

“Many consumers are still learning about the dramatic resolution advances inherent in Ultra HD,” said Drew Pragliola, senior VP of sales and marketing at AmTRAN Video Corp. “Seeing is believing. UHD technology was created for much larger screens. The DM85UXR takes maximum advantage of every pixel, and creates a viewing experience that will astound even HDTV purists.”

The JVC-TV Diamond Series Ultra HD 85-inch DM85UXR will start shipping in January, with an MSRP of $7,999.
