Steve Nicholson, Director Of Sales, North America at BenQ, recently answered three questions about trends in hybrid work environments. Nicholson highlights BenQ’s easy to use and collaborative hybrid work solutions for workspaces.

Commercial Integrator: How is BenQ approaching the hybrid work trend and making the transition easier for organizations and integrators?

Steve Nicholson: We’ve started to look at user experience and dissect it. We’re dissecting organizations around the world who are permanently shifting to hybrid work environments. We want to help companies looking to make this happen, such as, giving them tips, ideas, and how to convert their meeting rooms and boardrooms into hybrid work environments and active collaborative workspaces.

What we’ve found is that designing workspaces for operational resilience, shifting focus to more modular meeting rooms and borderless boardrooms will make transitions to hybrid work environments easier and give integrators the tools to communicate and to make that shift for their clients.

What we offer at BenQ are components before hybrid solution (i.e. high quality 4K cameras, high-definition smart displays and signage with superior sound quality), for collaborative meetings that are borderless, whether employees are remote or in the office. We guarantee exceptional performance and compatibility by leveraging partnerships with other products.

We have certifications with industry leaders like Microsoft, Amazon, VMWare. Additionally, our unique antimicrobial services keep users safe and continued heightened health-conscious workplaces, so basically when you touch our interactive flat panels, 99% of bacteria is demolished straight off the screen, so we don’t have that kind of worry.

We also offer Pantone validation on some of our displays, meaning perfect color rendering capabilities, so what you see is what you get on the actual displays itself.

CI: What AV Trends does BenQ foresee in 2021 and beyond?

SK: We found a top concern amongst AV professionals is employee lack of understanding and ability to connect in room technology. Touch functionality is somewhat a very important feature. At BeQ, we want to help companies get ahead of the curve, and address these very real concerns as we head back into the office and have more of a hybrid work scenario.

Whether you’re planning to give your entire office an upgrade, or just looking to furnish your meeting rooms, we can offer a complete solution portfolio — it covers everything from smart displays, lobby signage, to high-quality video streaming setups to interactive displays.

Hybrid work is here. Our goal is to provide solutions that are easy to deploy and that makes collaboration simple and future-proof business for years to come.

CI: You mentioned modular meeting rooms and borderless boardrooms, could you tell us more about what that means?

SK: [It means] consolidating technology, making it modular, standing up for efficiency; future-proofing the boardroom, standard boardroom vs. hybrid boardrooms and increasing engagement within office and remote workers.
