At the recently completed ISE 2019 in Amsterdam, Exterity showcased its latest products and how it is building on a successful 2018 to fuel its 2019 product line.
Exterity says that in 2018, its products were used in a number of high-profile installations, including Hamad Media Corporation, New England Institute of Technology, Saxon Hotel Villas and Spa and Thomson Reuters India.
“In order to meet the growing demands of consumers in this connected world, vendors must be able to offer flexible, secure and user friendly, end-to-end solutions and this is what we demonstrated at ISE,” states Colin Farquhar, CEO, Exterity.
Exterity ISE 2019 Show Highlights
- ArtioGuest: This product initially debuted in 2018. Exterity says it provides a seamless interactive TV and video experience for hospitality guests to utilize any device.
- ArtioSign: Digital signage solution that enables organizations to deliver dynamic digital signage content with resolutions up to 4K.
Exterity points out the latest version ArtioSign incorporates automatic conversion of imported video, meeting room status information with Microsoft Exchange; Amadeus Delphi, and support for Samsung Tizen TVs.

- AvediaPlayer 4K Media Player: This component is described as a reliable 4K player that helps to fill out its product line to provide a complete 4K workflow. Exterity notes the media player offers 32GBs of storage to support hours of media-centric digital signage, cost-effective Power over Ethernet (PoE), and a fanless design to help the player run quietly.
- Smart Control: The company’s Smart Control app can be used for IP video system applications and end points that include non-Exterity devices.
- AvediaStream TVgateways: The AvediaStream g4400 introduces a new workflow to the TVgateway product line. The product distributes IP-video content connected to screens on a LAN, and it delivers video content from a LAN to remote sites.

The company provides NDI support through its Transcoder platform to enable organizations to send production-quality video from their Network Device Interface (NDI) environments to all end points, including remote locations.
Other features the company is offering includes watermarking and HEVC support. Exterity adds its HEVC capabilities provides up to 50 percent bandwidth savings when streaming to remote locations.
