NEC Display Blends Specific Solutions Together for Customers at InfoComm 2018

Published: 2018-05-31

One thing about NEC Display – it’s all about integration of products. Yes, the prolific manufacturer makes and sells products. But increasingly – like what’s on display at the NEC InfoComm 2018 booth – NEC is about showcasing well vetted solutions to address customers’ specific application needs.

[related]A good example is its relationship with HiperWall, a provider of video wall software. NEC has worked cohesively with Hiperwall to blend its display solutions with the application-specific software to create mission-critical command and control room solutions.

In essence, integrators and consultants looking to deliver solutions to control room customers have an easier path to success, thanks to the NEC-Hiperwall collaboration.

Speaking of collaboration, NEC also addresses the fast-growing video collaboration category through a complementary partnership. T1V is an innovative interactive software company with the highly regarded ThinkHub collaboration platform.

NEC and T1V have developed bundles that include NEC touch-interactive displays with ThinkHub software, essentially creating robust, out-of-the-box video collaboration solutions for customer.

The idea, according to NEC senior director of product marketing Keith Yanke, is to take some of the headaches out of creating well-integrated, application-specific solutions for customers. Making those customers aware of that is pretty much the main NEC InfoComm 2018 goal.

For NEC, it’s not really about showing off the products – thin-bezel desktop displays for video wall configurations, large format displays, direct-view LED and laser projects.

“With such a diverse group of attendees at the show we’re really excited to show them this year especially the different solutions that NEC can bring to the table,” Yanke says.

So, for NEC, it’s not really about showing off the products – thin-bezel desktop displays for video wall configurations, large format displays, direct-view LED and laser projects (although they’ll be prominently displayed at InfoComm 2018).

“It’s really about bring the solutions and applications that the customers want to see,” Yanke says.

“Those customers range, of course, all the way from the resellers, the consultants, all the way down to our end users. It’s really showing them the latest and greatest solutions that NEC brings to the table.”

For NEC, partnerships are just as important as products.
