NSCA BLC Twitter Contest Returns

Three attendees at this week’s show in Tampa will win American Express gift cards for using #NSCABLC.

How strong is your tweeting game? If you’ve always wanted to put your social media mettle to the test, there’s no better way to prove yourself than at the 17th annual NSCA Business and Leadership Conference, which kicks off Thursday in Tampa, Fla.

For the second consecutive year, NSCA and Commercial Integrator are teaming up to add a fun element to one of the industry’s most highly anticipated gatherings of company leaders and top thinkers for three days of serious discussions and deep dives into how to make it better.

Last year, Brock McGinnis and Kourtney Govro let their fingers do the talking and took home top honors in Dallas. This year, FSR Inc. is offering opportunities for the top three most prolific tweeters at the BLC to win American Express gift cards, with $100 to the winner and $25 each for the silver and bronze medalists.

Here’s how it works:

Before, during and in the days immediately following NSCA’s 2015 BLC, attendees should tweet with #NSCABLC. Yes, only attendees are eligible to win. During the week following the event, NSCA (@NSCA_systems) staff and Commercial Integrator (@CommIntegrator) editors will choose the three most prolific tweeters—and watch their industry colleagues turn green with envy as the winners shop for AV gear (or whatever they want).

Judging will be subjective, obviously, and they’ll simply consider which non-sponsoring attendees did the best job of sharing the spirit and content of the BLC with the Twittersphere. Volume of Tweets is a consideration but not the only factor weighed by the judges. In other words, creativity counts.

With more than 300 attendees at this year’s show, the competition is sure to be fierce when it comes to showing how you can separate yourself from the Twitter crowd. Both McGinnis and Govro have said they’ll let someone else earn this year’s prizes, but you have to wonder if the friendly competition will get the best of them when the show starts.
