Did you know that industry cover band Drunk Unkles has raised over $700,000 for NSCA Education Foundation through its benefit concerts?
Well, there’s an opportunity to make that figure a lot bigger and give the industry a nice educational boost when the always-entertaining band performs during InfoComm 2014 at its Insanity at Vanity party at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel’s Club Vanity, Wednesday, June 18 from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.
NSCA Education Foundation is turning to the Twittershere to get the word out and drive attendees to the great event.
A soon to be announced AV price will be awarded to the person deemed to be the #DrunkUnkles “Most Prolific Tweeters.”
Here’s how it works:
Before, during and in the days immediately following Drunk Unkles’ Insanity at Vanity concert, industry folks should tweet with #DrunkUnkles. During the week following the event, NSCA (@NSCA_Systems) staff and Commercial Integrator (@CommIntegrator) editors will choose the “Most Prolific Tweeter”—and send them the soon to be announced AV price.
Judging will be subjective, obviously, and they’ll simply consider which friends of NSCA did the best job of sharing the spirit and enthusiasm of the Drunk Unkles concert with the Twittersphere. Volume of Tweets is a consideration but not the only factor weighed by the judges.
The idea is to provide a little bit of enjoyable incentive to the folks that help NSCA get the word out about its event.
