The Boys are Back! NSCA Presents Drunk Unkles Concert at InfoComm

Published: 2014-06-06

The boys are back in town! NSCA Education Foundation once again presents the Drunk Unkles during InfoComm week.

The NSCA Foundation presents the one-of-a-kind party and performance, appropriately named INSANITY AT VANITY, open to attendees at 8:30 – 11:30 PM, where else but at Club Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

You might remember the annual Extron party that once kicked off the InfoComm show on night one. Now that Extron no longer attends InfoComm, NSCA and the Drunk Unkles have stepped up to fill the void of the party not to miss at the show. Download your invitation here.

The event is an annual celebration and thank you from the manufacturers and integrators that help raise funds for the NSCA Education Foundation, a charitable organization working to advance educational opportunities by providing scholarships and awards to professionals in the electronic systems integration industry.

FEATURED REPORT

The Drunk Unkles have been performing, bringing AV professionals, friends, and colleagues together for nine years, and raising more than $700k in total. This year’s sum is over $100k, a new record for the foundation.

Once again the Unkles event will be the single largest independent and free of charge event open to all Infocomm attendees. Every year this event has grown, and with the expanded list of sponsors there is no reason to believe that this year will be any different. “Unkle” Steve Emspak, a partner at Shen Milsom & Wilke LLC, says he strongly suggests an early arrival to insure access.  Doors open at 8:30 p.m.

Emspak adds that the Drunk Unkles would like to thank their co-workers at AVI-SPL, BMG Hudson, Cardone Solomon & Associates, Cerami & Associates and Shen Milsom & Wilke for their support of the AV community, and Mike Sinclair from Audio Incorporated for donating his time and skill in the audio systems he brings out for these events.

“Our annual party is a result of the work and stewardship of many AV professionals from leading industry companies,” says Emspak. “We could not have this event without them, and we are grateful for their sponsorship.”

NSCA Education Foundation Executive Director Chuck Wilson adds, “The Foundation is tremendously appreciative of the work of the Drunk Unkles and their efforts to help our organization raise money for the various programs we offer. All of the men and women involved are talented, and we are amazed at the generosity of the band members and the sponsors that support this annual industry event.”
