When integrators are choosing between LED, LCD, and projection, how do they distinguish between them to determine which is the right choice for a video wall project? And, even more importantly, how do they choose the right manufacturer to help ensure their project is successful?
We sat down with Kurt Deyoung, VP of channel sales, Barco to get their opinion.
Commercial Integrator: Video wall projects are becoming more complicated – how important is it to work with a manufacturer who can provide feedback based on a project’s specific needs?
Kurt Deyoung: We offer a host of services at Barco — guided installation with your own installers, including having all of your products showing up at the same time.
Some products require a high degree of training to ensure they’re configured properly, and we have that expertise and training available at Barco regional training centers. With some projects, it might be more cost effective to hire one of our people on a per diem basis.
From what we hear in the integration community, all they want to do is get the job done right the first time.
We have the product capability to allow integrators to build projects around the Barco suite, not only from the imaging device, but also from the image processing devices required for many complex projects.
