When Class VI Partners, a financial advisory firm, began planning its new office buildout in Denver, they turned to a trusted partner: Logic Integration. The two companies share a long-standing relationship, with Logic Integration having previously delivered AV solutions for Class VI. This time, the goal was to create a unified, intuitive conferencing ecosystem that would elevate collaboration and streamline workflows.

Class VI Partners, engaged with Logic Integration, Commercial Integrator’s 2021 Integrator of the Year, early in the planning phase of its new headquarters. The collaboration began with discovery sessions to assess user experience needs and technology workflows. Based on these consultations, Logic Integration was selected to design and implement integrated AV systems across multiple meeting spaces.

The partnership was built on years of trust. Logic Integration CEO Shawn Hansson has known the founders of Class VI through CEO peer groups and executive networks. As a repeat client, Class VI reached out directly, confident in Logic Integration’s ability to deliver a reliable and user-friendly solution.

The Solution

Logic Integration deployed a Microsoft Teams-based videoconferencing and room scheduling system throughout Class VI’s new office. The objective was to provide a seamless, one-touch Teams experience across all meeting spaces, from executive boardrooms to smaller huddle rooms.

Key Features of the Solution:

Large Conference Room:

  • Dual 85-inch Sony XR displays
  • Crestron UC-CX100 Flex Teams system
  • Shure MXA920 ceiling microphones
  • Yealink UVC84 PTZ camera
  • QSC DSP and amplifier powering Episode 800 in-ceiling speakers
  • Hardwired BYOD box for codec flexibility

Medium and Small Rooms:

  • Relocated Logitech and Yealink collaboration bars
  • Consistent Microsoft Teams functionality
  • Touch panels for quick call access

Room Scheduling:

  • Yealink Teams Room Scheduling Panels with illuminated sidebars for real-time availability and booking

To ensure reliability, WattBox power conditioning with OVRC remote monitoring was implemented, allowing for proactive support and uptime. All equipment was centralized in a 12U AVFI rack for clean cable management and easy access.

This tailored approach combined premium new equipment with repurposed owner-furnished equipment (OFE), delivering high performance while respecting the client’s budget. The result was a cohesive, scalable system designed to enhance collaboration and future-proof the office’s technology.

Installation Process

The installation spanned multiple conference spaces, each with unique requirements. Logic Integration worked closely with Class VI’s construction and IT teams to ensure infrastructure readiness and compliance with Microsoft Teams Room standards.

Challenges and Solutions

OFE Integration:

  • Logitech and Yealink soundbars and displays required compatibility validation, mounting adjustments and reprogramming.
  • Custom Interfaces: BYOD wall plate interfaces were installed in key locations for added flexibility.
  • Large Conference Room Setup: The dual-display configuration and Shure microphone array required precise coordination with ceiling grid layouts, electrical contractors, and IT teams for conduit runs and PoE network drops.
  • Acoustic considerations were critical to microphone performance.

All systems were tested, programmed and commissioned on-site. Final punch list items and staff training were completed before substantial completion. The project, including lead times for Crestron and QSC components, was completed in approximately 8–10 weeks. Logic Integration maintained transparent communication throughout, proactively addressing minor supply delays.

Customer Feedback

Class VI Partners expressed high satisfaction with the outcome. The one-touch Teams functionality and audio clarity in the large conference room exceeded expectations. Nicole Scott, director of operations, highlighted the ease of adoption, noting that staff required minimal training due to the intuitive Crestron and Yealink interfaces.

The solution balanced forward-looking capabilities with the thoughtful reuse of existing AV assets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and a consistent user experience. The Yealink Room Panels, with their illuminated sidebars, were well-received, offering immediate visibility into room availability and replacing the firm’s previous manual scheduling process.

With Logic Care in place, Class VI benefits from remote support, proactive system health checks and behind-the-scenes issue resolution without the need for on-site visits. The AV upgrade has improved internal collaboration and enhanced the experience for external partners joining remotely. It has also reinforced Class VI’s professionalism and readiness in client-facing meetings.

The success of the Denver office project has prompted Class VI Partners to explore expanding similar AV standards to their satellite offices and other conference environments.
