NoviSign & Spotted Launch Smart Charging Network at Mexico City Airport

NoviSign Digital Signage and smart airport technology firm Spotted have deployed one of Latin America’s most extensive integrated charging-kiosk and digital display networks at Mexico City International Airport (AICM).

With more than 50 million passengers passing through the airport each year, AICM sought to elevate passenger convenience while opening new opportunities for high-impact digital advertising. Spotted implemented a large network of dual-sided charging kiosks combined with strategically positioned digital screens, all fully powered by NoviSign’s cloud-based digital signage platform.

These stations provide device charging alongside vibrant advertising and interactive content designed to reach travelers throughout both terminals. Using NoviSign’s centralized dashboard, Spotted manages every display in real time, from scheduling and content updates to performance monitoring and health checks.

Driving Passenger Engagement and Revenue

Campaigns are designed using NoviSign’s drag-and-drop studio, allowing for rapid creation of vertical-format content optimized for continuous playback across busy airport environments.

A major component of the deployment is NoviSign’s Ad Widget integration with Perion, a global provider of programmatic advertising technology. This connection enables automated ad delivery, impression tracking, proof-of-play reporting, and data-driven targeting, turning each screen into a revenue-generating asset for both local and international brands.

The new digital network has already improved passenger engagement, offering travelers convenient charging access and interactive touchpoints while delivering millions of monthly ad views across the airport. QR-driven interactions, dynamic messaging, and flexible content updates allow advertisers to run timely, high-visibility campaigns aligned with flight schedules, events or peak traffic periods.
