In this exclusive Commercial Integrator interview, Andrew Glasmacher of Genelec discusses the company‘s ambitious plans for InfoComm 2025. Glasmacher, who serves as sales manager, install and professional products, highlights what showgoers can look forward to checking out when they visit Booth #6781 next week.
Early in the conversation, Glasmacher shares his palpable enthusiasm ahead of the show. “We’re really excited about the booth this year,” he enthuses. “We have a larger booth this time around. And we are going to be demonstrating a full immersive system using the Smart IP products, which is really kind of unprecedented.”
This underscores an important point, Glasmacher says, about the unity of the Genelec offering. “Our Smart IP products are based on the technology that we’ve developed over the years in studio monitors,” he declares. “So, you’re getting a very high-quality sound. You’re getting, basically, reference quality.”
Genelec Plans Full Immersive Audio Experience at InfoComm 2025
Glasmacher promises that InfoComm 2025 visitors who visit the Genelec booth can look forward to a full immersive audio experience. “And that’s going to include our new subwoofer, which is the 3440,” he explains. “[That] is an amazing piece. When I first heard it, it was hard for me to understand that we’re getting that much sound and that much fullness — the true subwoofer tone — out of something that is PoE+ powered.”
The immersive experience will also include Genelec’s 4430s as LCRs, 4420s as sides and 4410s as the rear. “And then we’ll have pendants hanging for the height channel,” Glasmacher notes. “So, it is going to be a full 7.1.4 experience.”
Later in the interview, Glasmacher reflects on a deliberate, mindful setup that Genelec has implemented for its InfoComm 2025 booth. It’s all focused, he says, on giving integrators and customers a true sense of what the products will deliver in the venues they’re working on.
