InfoComm 2025: Panels, Spotlight Stage and Excusive Events

Jenn Heinold, senior vice president, expositions, Americas, AVIXA, explains, “We have a lot of exciting things planned for InfoComm 2025 – from incredible speakers and education sessions to top AV brands on the show floor and numerous networking forums.” She continues, “At this year’s show, we’re bringing together pro AV leaders for the panel discussion “2030 Vision: The Future of AV.” On Thursday, June 12 at 11 a.m., Brad Hintze, executive vice president of global marketing for Crestron; Eric Hutto, CEO of Diversified; and Christine Schyvinck, President and CEO of Shure, will join David Labuskes, CEO of AVIXA, to discuss innovations and emerging technologies poised to revolutionize the pro AV industry.”

New for this year’s show is the debut of the Spotlight Stage (Booth #4327) — a dedicated hub for exploring the fastest-growing solution areas in pro AV, including broadcast AV, digital signage and more. “This spot on the show floor will feature both a stage and networking lounge, providing a forum for in-depth conversations and connections between attendees and solution providers,” says Heinold.

The earlier-mentioned and ever-popular AVIXA Women’s Breakfast will return on Thursday morning. It will feature keynote speaker Noelle Russell, founder and chief AI officer at AI Leadership Institute. According to Heinold, “[Russell] is recognized as a trailblazer for women in tech and will share inspiring stories of resilience for women in leadership.”

On Tuesday, AVIXA will host the “Market Insights Lunch: State of the AV Industry,” where AVIXA’s market intelligence team will discuss the macro-economic trends, such as tariffs, inflation and interest rates, that are impacting the pro AV landscape. The session will debut research from AVIXA’s 2025 Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA), offering forecasts on industry size and growth. The team will also provide key highlights from recent end-user demand surveys that reveal quarterly purchase intentions for pro AV products and services.

The night before exhibits open, AVIXA will host InfoComm Night at Universal, an after-hours experience at Universal Studios. The event includes admission from 5 p.m. to midnight. The park closes to the general public at 8 p.m. Tickets are $115 and include a $25 food and beverage gift card for a Universal property.

AVIXA’s Integrated Experience Tours will take attendees to see AV technology in real-world environments around Orlando, including the University of Central Florida, Lifebridge Church of Orlando, Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life and Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

“InfoComm allows you to do a month’s worth of meetings in just a few days,” adds Heinold. “It’s like a trip around the world, because we have companies from more than 50 countries showcasing their solutions. The education program is vast; the networking opportunities are abundant. If you want to advance your business and career, making your way to InfoComm is absolutely worthwhile.”

Key Opportunities for Integrators

Sean Wargo, vice president, market insights, AVIXA, says, “As is true each year, InfoComm is the best reflection of the breadth of solution area opportunities making up the pro AV industry, whether conferencing and collaboration, digital signage, learning, command and control, live events, performance or broadcast AV. Each of them and the brands offering product to support are visible in the halls.”

Wargo, continues, “Of [the plethora of solution areas], conferencing and collaboration represents the largest area of spending, as evidenced by AVIXA’s annual IOTA report. For many integrators this is how the bulk of revenues will be generated as enterprises equip their offices for hybrid work. In just North America, collaboration solutions are expected to produce $24.8 billion in spending.” Wargo notes attendees should expect to see a wide variety of hardware and services at InfoComm in this area of the show.

Additionally, Wargo, notes, “Conferencing is not the fastest growing segment, however. That distinction goes to performance/entertainment which the IOTA report shows will grow 8.4% in revenues in 2025. This is the story of recovery in experiences following the pandemic, with consumers attending concerts, museums, sporting events and themed attractions in large numbers. This in turn has sparked increased investment in technology to support; evidenced at InfoComm.”

Extensive Education Programming/Workshops

Annette Sandler, senior director, live content, U.S. and Canada, says, “InfoComm’s technical workshops provide attendees with the invaluable opportunity to deeply explore emerging areas of the AV industry. This year, our workshops will delve into cutting-edge topics such as achieving success with esports facilities, addressing sustainability goals through SAVe and building effective streaming networks, among others.”

Sandler continues, “In addition to our workshops, InfoComm’s education sessions offer a comprehensive overview of essential AV topics. This year, we’re placing a special focus on AI-enabled technology, featuring sessions on integrating AI in the production process, leveraging it for digital signage and examining its impact on modern meeting rooms.”

InfoComm’s Evolution

“InfoComm evolves every year as the primary place for the AV industry to gather,” explains David Labuskes, CEO of AVIXA. “The experience of being at the show has shifted from purely product oriented to an event that demonstrates solutions to the needs of our customers and creates an environment to connect with people and ideas towards driving the industry forward. I think that the interaction with industry peers and the shared learning experiences have become a more important part of the event. The offerings from the exhibitors continue to be a catalyst for the gathering but you also see more and more focus on sharing, connecting and collaborating as a part of the booth spaces. You see more ‘in context’ showcases of solutions rather than stacks of products.”

Labuskes continues, “I know it sounds like a tag line, but I truly believe that the future of the industry is created at InfoComm. This is where the thought leaders and the buyers all come together and put their minds (and products) together to ideate new solutions as well as to share them. Our industry is dependent upon ecosystems and those are discovered and nurtured at the show and the events surrounding it. You can learn about the future of AV without attending InfoComm, but you can only be a part of that future if you are here.”

Advice for First-Time Attendee, Industry Newcomers

For first-time attendees and industry newcomers, Labuskes advises, “[To] be intentional in every aspect of your attendance. If you can get the information [that] you’re seeking on YouTube or a website, then consume that before you come.” He adds, “Develop your questions and be specific about how you’ll measure the value of your experience. And use all the criteria that matter to you: experiences, contacts, learnings, solutions. And then make a plan. Whom do you want to meet? Reach out in advance and set an appointment. What product engineer do you want to ask questions to? Identify where they’re going to be and when and then be there. What type of new person do you want to meet? Which networking event will they likely attend and be sure that you’re there, too. And have fun and enjoy.”
