As journalists, it’s our job to report on the news which affects our industry. But it’s also our job to foster discussions and communicate with our audience to know what they find most interesting or impactful. So we’re asking you, AVTweeps: what was the most important piece of 2020 pro AV news?

We’re handing you the proverbial printing press. We hope you’ll take part and let us know what happened this year that you’ll remember moving into 2021.
This could be an acquisition or merger event; a new announcement from a fellow integration firm or a manufacturer; or just about anything that happened that you feel had an impact on the last year (yes, we know COVID is going to be a go-to response, but we hope you’ll have something more specific than that).
What this is not: a chance to brag about an accomplishment; a chance to rip on the accomplishments of others; a forum to discuss your opinions.
Instead, we want to know simply what you thought was important over the last year and maybe a brief musing on why it was important to you.
