As a manufacturer and distributor, BTX had quite a variety on hand. Among its own branded solutions, the company’s BookIT room scheduler fits right in with the expectation that customers can have a simple answer that doesn’t necessarily need to tie in to a more expensive control system … but can still be used from mobile devices, at a computer, or from the touchpanel itself to do scheduling. The system works with popular programs such as Google Apps for Work, MS Exchange and Office 365. BookIT’s 7-inch PoE touchscreen features simple wall mounting system with brackets and scheduling software to cover meeting check-in, extension and release of room, alternative room options, one cable installation per display and an intuitive interface, according to the company.
“This is a good example of something where BTX is out in the field, and they said we’re doing so much in things like collaboration and in-room solutions, how else can we help our integrators bring a more complete solution, a more value-added solution,” says senior marketing manager Kim Robbins. “It can really be in any market where they don’t need something super complex … but can I do these really basic functions and have a more cost-effective solution.”
