CEDIA is officially launching its new in-person education program with CEDIA Connect as the organization aims to bring its globally accredited certification training to key member regions
What is CEDIA Connect?
Per CEDIA, Connect is a three-day classroom-based experience that emphasizes interactive learning, group activities and practical discussion with the third day of each CEDIA Connect event being focused on Cabling & Infrastructure Technician (CIT) exam review and preparation.
The CIT exam is offered separately for those who wish to sit for it; though participants may register for the full program, the CIT exam only or both.
Insights gained during the pilot year will inform the program’s expansion to additional regions worldwide as part of CEDIA’s broader global education strategy.

ADI will be part of the 2026 CEDIA Connect pilot program, with the first series of education being hosted at ADI facilities throughout the U.S. The full list of Connect times and locations for 2026 is as follows:

During the program, members of the smart home community are also invited to spend an evening at an exclusive CEDIA Mixer for food, drinks and peer connection.
In-Person Training a Growing Pain Point in Industry
As travel budgets balloon and training times eat into possible project workloads, manufacturers have begun seeking more creative options to conduct in-person training among core dealer bases. Part of that, as heard by CE Pro, has been exploring more in-person training options at tradeshows.
ADI itself, however, has been engaging with some of the more unique methods seen so far, as seen in the C4CT program started in September. As part of the program, aiming to address disruption caused by in-person training, the company sends out kits with all the requisite materials to train with in both online and offline formats.
What CEDIA Leadership is Saying
“For too long, access to in-person training meant traveling long distances and stepping away from the business,” said Daryl Friedman, CEO of CEDIA.
“CEDIA Connect is about breaking down those barriers by bringing high-value education directly to our members in the regions where they live and work. Our hope is that this pilot program will provide valuable insight that allows us to refine the education model and expand in-person training to more locations around the world in the future.
Additional Context for Integrators
CEDIA Connect will also run alongside the North American CEDIA Tech + Business Summits throughout 2026, helping expand access to in-person education across both high-density hubs and historically underserved regions. The full schedule for the summits is as follows:
