McCann Systems has been named the 2025 Make a Difference Award winner. Commercial Integrator and ADI jointly present this honor. The prestigious award recognizes an integration business for its deep commitment to charitable work and its meaningful impact on communities in need.
This win also reflects a company culture in which philanthropy is a core component of the underlying business philosophy. The award will be officially celebrated when representatives from CI+SSI and ADI visit McCann Systems’ offices for a celebration.
“Being named this year’s Make a Difference Award winner crowns not just our achievements but also the spirit of our core values and mission statement,” Tom Treichel, president and COO, McCann Systems, says. “Care, Challenge and Create are the values that our McCann Systems family lives and breathes every day. This recognition is a testament to how charitable work is woven into the fabric of our company — inspired by our founder, Frank McCann. To the McCann team: Your dedication inspires us all and ensures that compassion remains at the heart of who we are.”
2025 Make a Difference Award: Honoring Commitment to Community, Philanthropy
Over the past year, McCann Systems has engaged in significant philanthropic efforts, estimated to have impacted more than 10,000 individuals. A key initiative was the 2025 Kids at Heart Charity Challenge, a golf event that raised $45,000 for Boston Children’s Hospital’s Children’s Activity Fund. This fund supports programs that provide comfort and creative outlets for pediatric patients.
McCann Systems’ support for the hospital also included participation in the 2025 Corporate Cup, an event that raised more than $1 million.
“I’m truly honored and excited that McCann has been recognized with this award,” Josh Bittner, senior vice president of sales and marketing, McCann Systems, says. “Coming together with our colleagues, friends and families to support such meaningful causes — especially helping families with sick children — has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Seeing how even a small act of kindness can bring comfort or hope to a child and their family, it really grounds you and makes you appreciate all the good things in your own life.”
Widespread Team Involvement and Impact
McCann Systems’ charitable work is a team-wide effort, with more than 50 employees from various departments dedicating an estimated 500 volunteer hours in the last 12 months. This involvement ranges from organizing events to engaging in direct community support.
Matt Wilson, director of marketing, McCann Systems, highlighted the collaborative spirit. “Our second annual Kids at Heart Charity Challenge brought out the best in our industry — collaboration, generosity and a shared commitment to making a difference,” he declares. “AV is what we do, but this event was about who we are.”
2025 Make a Difference Award: ‘Purpose and Performance Can Coexist’
“This award proves that purpose and performance can coexist,” Wilson adds. “We don’t just build systems; we build lasting relationships. I’m proud to be part of a fantastic team.”
In addition to its various healthcare-focused initiatives, McCann Systems has continued its STEM Scholarship Program, expanding scholarship support to help three students this year. The company also sponsored several other charitable events, including the Fred Bargetzi ALS Drive Annual Golf Tournament and the CoreNet Global New Jersey Chapter Golf Outing.
