Tower Products Incorporated, the Saugerties, N,Y.-based, broadcast video equipment supplier, has announced the upcoming retirement of its President and CEO, James A. “Jim” Veltrie. After nearly four decades of dedicated service, Veltrie will officially step down on Dec. 30, 2025, marking the end of a remarkable career.

Veltrie’s journey with Tower Products began in 1987 when he was among the first employees hired by the company’s founder, Mark Braunstein. Over the years, Veltrie played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and evolution, culminating in his appointment as President and CEO in 2016 following Braunstein’s retirement. His tenure has been defined by a steadfast commitment to innovation, collaboration and long-term success.

One of Veltrie’s most notable achievements was leading Tower Products through its transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. This move not only secured the company’s future but also reinforced its commitment to its employees. Under his leadership, Veltrie introduced open-book management practices and established a strong executive management team, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration. These efforts proved invaluable during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling the company to maintain stability and resilience.

During his time as CEO, Tower Products experienced significant growth, including a 20% increase in its workforce and a substantial rise in share value.

Beyond his business accomplishments, Veltrie upheld and expanded Tower’s philanthropic mission. He strengthened the company’s commitment to combating hunger through initiatives like the Markertek Fund and the annual Markertek Open Charity Golf Tournament. Together, these efforts have contributed over $1 million to the Regional Food Bank.

As Veltrie prepares to retire, he has worked closely with Tower’s Board of Directors to ensure a seamless leadership transition. The company has announced that Gregory DeCelle, the current chief marketing officer, will succeed Veltrie as President and CEO. DeCelle brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of the company’s operations, positioning him to build on Veltrie’s legacy and lead Tower Products into its next chapter.

Tower Products Incorporated extends its gratitude to Veltrie for his decades of service and leadership, which have left an indelible mark on the company and its employees.
