Laia Technologies North America announced the opening of the new Demo Lab in Fairfield, N.J. The company says it will demonstrate, by appointment, its full breadth of cameras that work seamlessly with audio solutions from top manufacturing partners. The company stated it will also demonstrate its breakthrough camera setup and control software that’s revolutionizing the deployment of camera ecosystems.
Features of Demo Lab
According to Laia, the new lab features various top audio manufacturers, and will allow customers through in-person demos — or remotely via Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, WebEx and other platforms — to demo Laia hardware and software solutions.
“We’re pulling out all the stops,” says Gary Plavin, president, Laia Technologies North America, “with a full assortment of our latest model PTZ and collaboration cameras. And equally important: your favorite audio providers such as Shure, Nureva, Sennheiser and others have gear in our Lab — all networked on NETGEAR — so you can see how our products work seamlessly and elegantly in an environment that’s like your next job’s environment.”
“In today’s camera and collaboration ecosystems, you need to design your system by thinking beyond just the camera units themselves,” adds George Meglio, VP of business development at Laia Technologies North America. “In a tangible way that’s evident to everyone who sees our products in action, we are a software company that facilitates better use of cameras, because key to our offerings and our approach is our new IAVS (Intelligent Audio Visual Systems) software.”
Meglio continues, “Laia leverages advanced software integrations and more flexible integrated AI to allow the seamless operation of Laia cameras with other AV system components such as third-party beam forming and microphone mist technologies — for superior speaker tracking, and much more. And we help you better leverage existing AV/IP network infrastructure with fewer moving pieces — to reduce complications and costs from additional extenders, switchers and other peripherals. With our AICC software you can more easily manage and control your different IP and USB cameras — with advanced AI functionality and layout control.”
Streamlined Setup and Reduced Costs
Per the company, visitors to the Laia Lab will see for themselves that not only will they need fewer components to get their camera systems up and running, but the software also enables better and easier customization of their system.
“Our unique software is key to how we help eliminate the spiraling programming costs around camera setup and deployment,” remarks Plavin. “It’s about working with our AV ecosystem partners. Not just audio partners but also display and networking partners. Our Demo Lab lets you see that with your own eyes, in an environment that’s like yours.”
