Matrox Video announced the availability of Mura DVW 1.1, the latest release of its high-performance, IP-based distributed video wall appliance. Purpose-built for scalable, secure and seamless video wall deployments, Mura DVW combines advanced computing, networking, video decoding and graphics processing to power synchronized multi-monitor walls of virtually any size and rectangular configuration, says the company.
Along with a host of new features, the software update delivers even greater control, flexibility and performance for a range of applications. This includes control rooms, operations centers and digital signage, says Matrox Video.
Mura DVW 1.1 Features
- MuraControl Web: A fully browser-based video wall management tool now comes built in, enabling users to build, select, and control layouts more easily than ever—no local software installation required.
- Enhanced Web Source Support: Users can now display dashboards directly on the video wall using only the DVW appliance without requiring any external media servers.
- Expanded IP Decoding Capability: Improved support for H.264 and H.265 streams allows for more efficient, high-quality video decoding and playback.
“Mura DVW was designed to bring IP-based flexibility, scalability and performance to modern video wall installations,” says Daniel Collin, senior product manager at Matrox Video. “With the most recent update, we’re making it easier for users to control and scale their video walls while reducing the need for additional hardware or software.”
