As control ecosystems become more sophisticated, the need for interoperability between different manufacturers’ products is more critical than ever. Centralized control not only simplifies setup but also enhances long-term operational efficiency.
Addressing this need, Renkus-Heinz has announced the release of its Symetrix third-party control plugin. This new software enables the seamless integration of Renkus-Heinz products directly within the Symetrix control environment. For integrators and system designers, this means key loudspeaker functions can now be managed from a single, unified platform.
Centralizing Control for Enhanced Efficiency
The new plugin allows users to manage loudspeaker functions without leaving the Symetrix interface. This includes control over DSP parameters, input routing, preset recall and device telemetry. By consolidating these functions, the plugin simplifies the setup and day-to-day operation of Renkus-Heinz loudspeaker systems, reducing operational complexity for technicians and end-users alike.
What are the practical benefits of this integration?
For large-scale installations in venues like concert halls, sports stadiums or theaters, the plugin allows integrators to control all loudspeakers from a single platform. This ensures audio consistency across the entire space and significantly reduces setup time between events or performances. This streamlined workflow is particularly valuable in dynamic environments where quick system adjustments are frequently required.
“We are proud to expand our third-party plugin portfolio with Symetrix support, giving integrators more choice and greater control across diverse control systems,” says Brandon Heinz, product manager at Renkus-Heinz. “This plugin is another step in our ongoing commitment to delivering solutions that simplify complex installations and enhance system performance.”
Applications Across Vertical Markets
The benefits of a unified control ecosystem extend to various applications. In houses of worship, for example, the plugin simplifies system management by allowing volunteer staff to easily recall presets for different service types. This reduces the technical workload and helps deliver consistently excellent audio quality for both spoken word and music.
By empowering Renkus-Heinz customers to use a cohesive control ecosystem across both loudspeakers and DSP workflows, the Symetrix plugin provides a more intuitive approach to managing complex AV systems. The ability to monitor system status and performance from a central dashboard also enhances troubleshooting, allowing technicians to identify and resolve issues more effectively.
For added assurance, the plugin-modules are backed by the Control Concepts’ official Supported Product Program. This program ensures that all API integrations are fully tested, approved and endorsed by Control Concepts. This endorsement provides integrators with confidence in the plugin’s reliability and gives them access to responsive support for quick issue resolution.
The Renkus-Heinz Symetrix plugin is now available for download from the Renkus-Heinz website, joining the company’s existing support files for Crestron and Q-SYS control platforms.
