When HSBC, a global banking institution, aimed to redefine its retail banking experience at its Jumeirah branch in Dubai, they turned to the award-winning AVI-SPL Middle East team. The challenge was to transform the location into a digital-first environment that would modernize customer interactions, support a hybrid workforce and embody HSBC’s global brand identity.
AVI-SPL delivered a comprehensive, user-centric AV solution that integrated cutting-edge technology across two floors. From a stunning 7.2m x 4.05m LG LED videowall to standardized Zoom Rooms and flexible collaboration spaces, the project resulted in a future-ready branch that enhances engagement for both customers and employees.
The new system has streamlined operations, elevated internal communications, and solidified the branch’s status as a beacon of modern banking.
The Challenge: Modernizing the Retail Banking Experience
HSBC needed to strategically refresh its Jumeirah branch to align with its forward-thinking vision for retail banking. The goal was to create a flagship location that blended a high-tech, digital-first atmosphere with an intuitive, user-centric design.
The existing AV infrastructure was outdated and could not support the demands of a modern, hybrid work environment or the sophisticated digital experience HSBC wanted for its customers. The project required a complete overhaul across two floors, encompassing customer zones, meeting rooms and large event spaces.

The Solution: A Seamless, Integrated AV Ecosystem
AVI-SPL designed and implemented a fully integrated AV system that transformed the branch into a dynamic and collaborative space. The solution was built around consistency, ease of use, and high performance.
A Grand Welcome: Visitors are greeted by a striking 7.2m x 4.05m LG LED videowall in the reception area, which displays vivid, high-resolution brand content. Across the ground floor, LG digital signage and interactive kiosks, managed through Appspace and BrightSign, deliver dynamic information, from queue management to café menus, creating a modern self-service experience.
Standardized Collaboration: To simplify operations and enhance hybrid work, all meeting rooms were standardized with a unified technology package. Each room features LG 4K displays, Logitech Rally Bars, and Tap-IP controllers for a seamless Zoom Room experience. Embedded mic pods ensure crystal-clear audio for both internal and client-facing conversations. For added flexibility, smaller huddle areas were equipped with portable Neat Boards on mobile stands, supporting spontaneous, on-the-go collaboration.
Powering Large-Scale Events: The first floor’s larger spaces, designed for town halls and strategy sessions, are powered by high-end presentation technology. Epson 7000-lumen projectors, Draper lifts, and DA-LITE screens create an immersive visual experience. Video is captured by Poly G7500 systems and Q-SYS PTZ cameras, while Sennheiser ceiling microphones and Shure wireless mics provide flawless audio, distributed through QSC ceiling speakers.
The entire system is centrally controlled via Q-SYS processors and touch panels, enabling simple management of complex events. The project required precise coordination with multiple stakeholders, including IT, facilities, and construction teams.
AVI-SPL’s end-to-end management, from design to installation and training, ensured the complex integration was delivered efficiently and on schedule, all while adhering to HSBC’s strict global standards.
