The new Crestron AM-300 AirMedia 2.0 Wireless Presentation System is now shipping. Crestron calls it a “versatile, easy-to-install solution that helps integrators to deliver a secure way for their clients to communicate a variety of content.”
The latest AirMedia product from Crestron updates a product that is already proven in the marketplace.

Crestron says the AirMedia 2.0 enables keyboard and mouse movements to track in real time, with smooth video playback, and on-screen display instructions, room availability, and other meeting room details when connected to a calendar platform.
Augmenting its wireless capabilities, the AM-300 also incorporates a DM input, HDMI in and out connections, a LAN port for power and communications, and full display control.
Crestron points out the AirMedia 2.0’s wireless capabilities include mirroring with Windows, MacOS, Android and the iOS operating systems without Apple’s Bonjour software, and cloud-based deployment and management to add to the presentation product’s versatility.
In addition, Crestron notes that unlike other products that act like a wireless access point, which can expose private content to risk security breaches, the network-based AirMedia 2.0 incorporates 802.1x network access control, Active Directory user authentication, AES-128 encryption, and SSH, SSL, TLS and HTTPS.
