Exertis Broadcast Adds Videon for Distribution in U.S. and Canada

Accelerating its North American business development efforts, Videon, the video compute platform, appointed Exertis Broadcast, formerly JB&A Distribution, to serve as its specialist distribution partner in the United States and Canada.

Exertis Broadcast Senior Vice President Jeff Burgess commented, “Videon’s video compute platform is a comprehensive, fully integrated system combining advanced video processing with highly flexible computing that brings cloud functionality on-premises in a small form factor.”

He further clarified, “It increases reliability and quality while reducing latency and costs by simplifying workflows. Videon empowers users to create dynamic, real-world solutions that adapt to their changing needs with a platform that allows them to continually innovate and optimize.”

According to the company, Videon has a 23-year-old history of delivering cutting-edge video technologies in partnership with industry leaders like Broadcom, Google, Intel, Netflix, Samsung, TeraLogic, and Qualcomm and has played a critical role in innovation around DVD, set-top-boxes, and inflight entertainment.

Videon also released a statement highlighting the reasons for joining as Exertis Broadcast’s distribution partner. “We are looking to leverage Exertis Broadcast’s large and growing network of North American broadcast and content production resellers and end-user customers to significantly expand our sales of customized video compute platform systems built around our EdgeCaster and LiveEdge® solutions,” said Ruck.
