The new Poly Sync 20 speakerphone announced last month is now certified for Microsoft Teams, Poly announced Thursday.

The Poly Sync 20, designed for remote or hybrid work, now features a dedicated Microsoft Teams button that allows users to launch the Teams app with just a tap.

When Poly announced the group of speakerphones last month during Zoom’s annual conference Zoomtopia, they were originally certified only for that company’s conferencing platform.

Now, the Poly 20 is also certified for Teams, one of Zoom’s toughest competitors in the videoconferencing and collaboration space.

Tamara Lane, Poly’s director of product marketing, wrote more about this in a blog post:

No matter where or how you work, Poly has a Teams-ready solution to fit your workstyle. More than ever, everyone needs communication equipment that ensures great collaboration experiences whether they are at home, in an office, a conference room, or on the road. Furthermore, with teams dispersed, it’s paramount that users can easily set up and use their professional-grade technology without the help of IT.

Poly and Microsoft have a longstanding relationship centered around Teams, as the company touts a long list of Microsoft Teams solutions and devices.

The three-microphone array Poly Sync 20 was announced last month along with two other larger speakerphones in the Poly Sync family.

The device is a personal speakerphone, portable music speaker and smartphone charger all in one, designed for remote or hybrid workers on the go.

The Poly Sync 20 also features advanced digital signal processing algorithms to ensure audio quality on both sides of the call, and a programmable button lets users personalize the device with functions like playing music or a voice assistant.

The corporate world is still adjusting to the COVID-19 pandemic, but businesses are beginning to return to the office in some capacity, giving rise to a new hybrid work environment in which some employees work in the office while others continue to work at home.
