Published: 2015-03-11

Atlona is a well established connectivity products manufacturer with a complete line of signal management products, transmission and receiving devices.

Addressing the commercial market with its latest launch, the San Jose, Calif.-based company announced its AT-UHD-CLSO-601 switcher.

Atlona says the UHD-CLSO-601 is a six input, 4K/UHD 30Hz switcher that is specifically designed for installations in classrooms and meeting rooms, and it includes a number of features that support usages in those types of environments.

“For systems using a variety of sources located near the switcher, the new AT-UHD-CLSO-601 is going to be a very compelling, very affordable solution,” says Bill Schripsema, CTS, senior project manager, Atlona. “It’s advanced integration, mirrored outputs, audio and remote control features, as well as 4K upscaling will help integrators reduce both the complexity and time required for system design and installation.”

Looking at some of the specific features of the UHD-CLSO-601, the switcher incorporates four HDMI and two multi-function analog inputs to allow dealers to mix analog and digital signal capabilities within the same system. It offers a choice of RS-232 and IR control options.

Other features include a microphone input with phantom power, auto switching capabilities, mirrored HDMI and HDBaseT outputs, 4K upscaling, Power over Ethernet (PoE) and provisions for DVI and DisplayPort. The switcher also offers a web-based interface that enables EDID management for the optimization of video resolutions, and HDCP management to support its use with compliant and non-compliant components.

Atlona adds the AT-UHD-CLSO-601 can be used with products like its AT-UHD-EX-100CE-RX HDBaseT Extender receiver, and it states the product is backed with a 10-year warranty.
