Record Attendance Confirms ISE as World’s Largest Systems Integration Show

Published: 2016-02-17

Integrated Systems Europe, which for the first time featured four days of AV and systems integration products, demonstrations and classes, broke its 2015 attendance records with a final count of 65,686 registered attendees.

The final number represents a 10.7 percent increase from last year’s attendance number, or 6,338 new faces in the enormous, 12-hall RAI convention center. It’s official: ISE is the largest AV and systems integration tradeshow in the world.

“The volume of attendee traffic and its spread over the four days confirms our belief that the extra day was necessary and that it adds value for visitors and exhibitors,” says Integrated Systems Events managing director, Mike Blackman. “I’m delighted to say that the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and I would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed.”

Many wondered how that fourth day—dubbed FRDY@ISE—would hold up. ISE’s ‘Meet the CEO’ initiative connected visitors with senior exhibitor executives, the manufacturer to distributor (M2D) program held a networking reception, and an AV/IT seminar program kept visitors entertained and engaged throughout the fourth day. Of course, Dr. Michio Kaku’s closing keynote couldn’t have hurt those Friday numbers either!

“Yet again I can say how proud we are to be associated with ISE and the unique position it holds today,” says David Labuskes, executive director and CEO of InfoComm. “Our InfoComm Conferences, MasterClasses and FlashTrack education sessions drew excellent delegate numbers and offered ISE attendees an opportunity to experience a little of what InfoComm International can offer.”

Meanwhile, CEDIA CEO Vincent Bruno is equally excited about ISE’s success this year. “This year’s exhibition confirmed ISE’s importance for manufacturers and integrators for the home. It is simply a ‘must attend’ event,” says Bruno. “We were delighted with the response to our training sessions and to the 15 presentations we contributed in the Residential Solutions Theatre. Plus, we’ve had many companies sign up for CEDIA membership.”

ISE 2016 also saw the first four-day ISE Daily newspaper and the launch of ISEshow.TV.

Looking ahead to 2017, exhibitor and stand re-bookings for next year’s show are at 47,131 square meters of sold space. This represents 102 percent of the total space sold for the 2016 edition and 95 percent of the total space available for 2017. The addition of a new hall in 2017 will coincide with a new hall numbering system, which will be introduced into the RAI. So to all who finally got their bearings on those 12 halls by Friday afternoon, best of luck next year!
