TechTrending: An Interview with NovaStar

Published: 2020-04-28

We’ve seen that LED video wall deployments growing year-over-year in the integration industry, why do you think that is?

A common problem for end users is the integration of products from various companies into a single application. When these problems occur, it can also be difficult to know which company to contact. Suppliers caught in the middle may also be reluctant to admit the problem is with the products they provided. In the end, this results in users having a difficult time solving on-site problems. An integrated total solution not only solves the issue with cross-company product integration, it also makes it easier for clients to just look to a single company. NovaStar that is. Customers can call the 24/7 support line if they need help with any issues.

NovaStar produces a number of video wall control solutions – why is control such an important but sometimes overlooked part of video wall deployments?

The way in which a video wall is controlled is very important, but NovaStar’s hardware is integrated into many video walls. Due to this, many end users only pay attention to the display they purchase, without putting a lot of thought into the control system inside the display. However, the middle and upper levels in the industry place a heavy focus on these control systems, and are very familiar with NovaStar’s products and technologies.

How can an LED display calibration system help integrators make sure they’re properly deploying their video wall solutions?

The main purpose of calibration is to ensure a display’s brightness uniformity and color accuracy. Calibration systems provide integrators with better applications, as well as providing calibration service and a better visual result for users even after a display has been installed.

NovaStar also offers a number of software solutions. How does software fit into video wall installations?

NovaStar provides total solutions for LED display, which includes both software and hardware. As far as video wall installations, NovaStar provides total control, including remote publishing and more. This not only alleviates worry about monitoring and stability, but also increases the efficiency of display operation for our users.

NovaStar also offers training opportunities for integrators, could you tell us more about that?

Yes, our new North America office has a demo room, and our technicians are always standing by to help with any questions or issues with our products and solutions. Besides this amazing product demo room, we also have regular training events. We welcome any and all systems integrators to attend our training, working together to discover the newest technology and solutions in the industry. — Selena Zhang, Regional Manager, NovaStar
