CEDIA Expo/CIX Unveils Battle of the Bands and CE Pro All-Star Band for Opening Night
CEDIA Expo/CIX is shaking up its usual Opening Party formula, introducing an all-new Battle of the Bands competition and CE Pro All-Star Band performance that will infuse fresh energy into the entire CEDIA Expo/CIX experience.
This special event will feature live performances from industry bands, culminating in a crowd-selected Battle of the Bands champion. Then, the CE Pro All-Star Band will bring us home as the evening’s headliner.
The Opening Party will take place on the first evening of the show, Wed, Sept. 2, at the Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in downtown Denver.
The announcement of this exciting evening event follows hot on the heels of numerous other updates to and enhancements of the show’s planned events and programming.

Ready to submit for Battle of the Bands? Here are the details you need to know….
Eligibility
Participation is limited to members of the industry, including exhibitors, integration firms and rep firms. Participating bands will have to submit a three-song live recording to be considered for the competition. It’s also required that at least 50% of band members be employed by or affiliated with the submitting company.
All submissions must be completed by May 15, 2026. Submissions can be made via this form.
Selection
An industry panel will select three finalist bands from the entries ahead of the Opening Party. Participating bands will be announced in June and promoted pre-show across CEDIA Expo/CIX channels. All selected bands must be available to rehearse in Denver on Tues, Sept. 1.
An Opportunity for Individual Musicians
If you aren’t in a band or simply want to submit on your own, you can participate, as well! Individual musicians and vocalists may apply to perform with the CE Pro All-Star Band on select songs!
