Bogen Communications LLC, provider of commercial audio and voice communications technology, has announced a partnership with Alertus Technologies, provider of mass notification and emergency communication solutions.
Benefits of Bogen Communications and Alertus Partnership
Per the statement, the collaboration enables organizations to leverage Bogen Communications’ Nyquist IP-based paging platform with Alertus’ alerting tools for a more comprehensive, automated emergency communication across facilities.
Bogen Communications adds that the integration allows Alertus alert messages to play through Bogen Communications’ overhead speaker and paging systems, supporting both software-based and SIP phone system-based connections. Alertus can also automatically trigger the Nyquist platform Routines API. Per the company, Routines are powerful user-definable routines that can automatically launch a procedure, or sequence of actions that the Nyquist system executes in response to a defined “trigger” event.
Through API-level communication, Alertus says it can automatically trigger these Nyquist Routines, share alert information for custom messaging and zoning, and display Nyquist system status directly within the Alertus console.
“The partnership strengthens our ability to support customers seeking dependable, interoperable emergency communication,” remarks Randall Lee, vice president of marketing and product management at Bogen Communications LLC. “Alertus brings a strong mass notification platform that complements our Nyquist system, enabling organizations to streamline alert delivery, automate responses and use their existing infrastructure more effectively.”
Enhancing Critical Alerts for Various Applications
According to the statement, the integration between Bogen Communications and Alertus offers key benefits, including fully automated alert paging, software-driven routine activation, optional text-to-speech functionality through SIP Annunciators and deployment based on industry-standard tools without the need for custom development. Users can also select software-level or SIP-based integration to accommodate varying network and system environments.
“Our collaboration with Bogen Communications enhances how institutions manage and distribute critical alerts,” adds Amanda Sassano, vice president of business development for Alertus. “By connecting the Alertus platform with the Nyquist paging system, organizations gain a reliable and flexible method for disseminating emergency messages across their facilities.”
Per the statement, the Web API-based integration uses secure bearer-token authentication and supports Bogen Communications’ Nyquist E7000 and C4000 solutions. Alertus can send multiple alert parameters for routine activation and define retry behavior in the event of communication failure, helping ensure message delivery during time-sensitive situations. According to the company, the combined capability supports applications in education, healthcare, transportation and other sectors requiring facility-wide alerting and coordinated response.
