Ellipsys Commercial Technology Group announced that its annual Ellipsys Catalyst event, held from May 5 to 7, 2025 in Indianapolis, Ind., brought Ellipsys members and vendor partners together from around the U.S.

Per the organization, the three-day event focused on helping commercial integrators grow their businesses, strengthen connections and navigate change in today’s evolving landscape.

Ellipsys Catalyst 2025 opened with a welcome from executive director, Chris Whitley, before moving to peer discussions, says the organization. This gave members space to connect early and build momentum for the days ahead — which were filled with presentations and guest speakers, aimed to prompt discussion and unlock new insights amongst the group.

Panel Discussions on Real-World Experiences

Presentations at the event included a panel discussion, “Scale with Subcontracting,” led by Dan Abram, practice director at Aspire Technology Partners, and two subcontracting partners. Per the organization, the panel shared real-world experience in how to leverage strong, trust-based relationships to scale in a tight labor market.

The discussion sparked a lively Q&A session that underscored the value of strategic partnerships with an emphasis on process, quality and shared success, says Ellipsys.

Later in the event, the evolving business landscape took center stage with an applied AI session led by Office Pro and a deep dive on tariffs, which included peer perspectives on potential business impacts.

Emphasis on Connections and Collaboration

Ellipsys welcomed Ryan McCarty, author of Build a Culture of Good, to deliver a keynote address and interactive workshop. McCarty encouraged attendees to integrate purpose and passion into daily operations. “Culture is emotional before it is strategic,” he emphasized.

Throughout the event, peers and vendors met 1:1, forging new connections and meaningful business-driving collaboration. Attendees were also treated to a live music session with the lead singer of Houndmouth, says the organization.

Reflecting on the full three days, Whitley shares, “Catalyst is about more than tech — it’s about bringing people together to grow as professionals, partners and leaders.”
