Stepping up to meet the public’s ever-increasing demand, the IT industry has continually improved the USB format to help ensure its relevancy in today’s world.
The Skinny: Recently the Buena Park, California-based manufacturer Hosa Technology introduced its latest cabling products that utilize the newest USB format: USB 3.0.
The Specs: Hosa’s new USB-300 Series SuperSpeed USB cables are available in a choice of 3-, 6- and 10-foot lengths. The company says the cables offer users data transfer speeds 10-times faster than USB 2.0 cables with speeds as fast as 5Gbps. The cables also offer a choice of nickel-plated connector, and the products are engineered for increased power handling.
Hosa adds the cables utilize aluminum-mylar shielding to help reduce EMI and RF noise to allow the products to be used for audio applications.
Solutions: Hosa says the cables can be used for any number of applications, including connections to DSLR cameras, smart phones, tablets, portable drives, USB microphones and standard IT installations.
