A coalition of leading AV manufacturers and technology providers announced the launch of OpenAV Cloud, a new industry initiative created to accelerate the AV industry’s transition to the cloud by promoting openness, interoperability and customer-first innovation. Founding members include Sony Electronics, Panasonic, Legrand, Shure, BrightSign and Xyte.
Per the statement, OpenAV Cloud aims to address one of the AV industry’s biggest challenges: proprietary systems that hinder integration and innovation.
