ISE Attendance ‘Just Under 60K’

Published: 2015-02-12

Integrated Systems Europe set another attendance record this year, blowing away last year’s 51,003 figure with “just under [60,000] visitors,” according to a tweet from the show’s official Twitter account shortly after the three-day extravaganza wrapped up in Amsterdam.

This is the second consecutive year ISE has seen a jump of more than 15 percent in its overall attendance, and organizers expect to top this year’s figure next year with RAI building another hall and the show expanding to four days.

On AV Week earlier this month, Integrated Systems Events managing director Mike Blackman said he’s thrilled with how ISE has grown since it launched in Geneva, Switzerland in 2004.

“When we started the show, the concept was to make something for the industry by the industry,” he said. “Obviously we’ve done the right thing. All the major manufacturers participate because they want this show to happen. The industry wants it, the industry loves it. They put it as the most important thing on their calendars.

“We have a responsibility to our attendees and exhibitors to spread that crowd,” said Blackman on the AV Week podcast.

UPDATE: A tweet from InfoComm International has announced that the exact attendance number of ISE 2015 was 59,350. This is a 16% increase from last year.
