Neat, the Oslo, Norway-headquartered, video technology company, has appointed Javed Khan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With extensive experience in AI-driven transformation, Khan steps into the role as Neat focuses on global expansion and intelligent edge computing.
This leadership change highlights Neat’s commitment to artificial intelligence as the driving force behind its next wave of innovation. Known for his bold leadership and product-first mindset, Khan is set to integrate advanced edge computing with Neat’s simple and elegant user experiences.
Khan’s background includes serving as Executive Vice President of Intelligent Systems at Aptiv, where he developed intelligent edge solutions for industries like automotive, robotics and aerospace. He also led the modernization of Cisco Webex as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco Collaboration, transforming its videoconferencing and contact center solutions during the pandemic.
“Javed brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise and proven enterprise leadership” says OJ Winge on behalf of the Neat Board. “His experience scaling complex AI-enabled systems and leading global collaboration platforms positions Neat to build on our technology leadership and accelerate long-term growth.”
Khan says, “Recent advancements in edge computing and large language models are allowing us to embed AI into edge devices running in the conference room. This architectural shift will unlock entirely new collaboration experiences. I’m honored to join Neat and energized to work alongside some of the brightest minds as we define the next generation of collaboration.”
Khan’s appointment comes as Neat transitions from a disruptive challenger to a dominant enterprise force. His leadership will deepen Neat’s focus on intelligent edge computing and accelerate its readiness for public markets.
Khan succeeds Janine Pelosi who led Neat through significant growth, strengthening its operational foundation and expanding its product portfolio. With Khan’s strong industry relationships — including ties to Neat’s founding team — the leadership transition is expected to be seamless.
Neat’s focus on AI and edge computing positions the company to redefine collaboration experiences and solidify its role as a leader in the global enterprise market.
