Jetbuilt, the global provider of AV project sales and management software, announced Jetbot Drawings, an AI-powered tool that generates complete system schematics at the push of a button, right within the Jetbuilt platform. Drawings, is powered by Jetbuilt’s proprietary AI engine — Jetbot — and generates detailed system schematics in seconds, giving integrators a powerful new tool to accelerate design workflows.
For integrators, schematics are an essential step between design and installation, but they often consume significant engineering resources, says Jetbuilt. With a single click, Jetbot Drawings automatically creates schematics that represent connections exactly as an engineer would design them, using customized lines, colors/styles and wire number schemes.
Jetbot Drawings To Streamline Tasks
According to Jetbuilt, Jetbot has been trained on thousands of product manuals, integration guides and audiovisual best practices over the last two years. Jetbot understands how systems are typically wired and configured, enabling it to make connections automatically and accurately. With Jetbot Drawings, tasks that typically take an engineer hours or days on larger projects are now completed in about ten seconds, saving companies significant time and cost.
The company reveals that Jetbot Drawings leverage the project’s specific bill of materials and scope of work already entered into Jetbuilt to instantly create detailed schematics, connecting sources, converters, mixers, processors, displays and speakers logically and accurately. Designers retain full control, with the ability to manually move and adjust connections, add components or move devices as needed.
A Modify button allows users to make natural language requests, from small adjustments, like moving a source from one port to another, to larger conceptual changes that can reconfigure an entire patch setup. Jetbot Drawings can also be exported in DWG format, enabling seamless integration with platforms such as AutoCAD and Vectorworks for firms that depend on CAD-based workflows. Accoridng to Jetbuilt, with Jetbuilt’s Vectorworks integration already live and the upcoming AutoCAD integration on the horizon, teams can further enhance this smooth workflow, streamlining both design and documentation processes.
Supporting Integrator Creativity
“Audiovisual designers value the creativity and problem solving nature of their work, and we believe AI should support, not replace, that creativity,” says Paul Dexter, chief executive officer and founder of Jetbuilt. “We’ve designed Jetbot Drawings, like other Jetbuilt features, to take on the most time-consuming and complex parts of the workflow. By addressing these core pain points, Jetbuilt streamlines the processes professionals find most tedious, so projects move faster and smoother across every phase.”
Dexter adds, “Our industry has long accepted the burden of manual schematics, but with Jetbot’s intelligence, we can now deliver those drawings in seconds. Jetbot Drawings empower teams to dramatically extend the reach of a single engineer, freeing up valuable time to focus on client-facing design, installation and service, which adds increased value to the customer.”
While Jetbuilt’s initial introduction of Jetbot Drawings focuses on schematics — the most immediate need for Jetbuilt users — the development is already underway for rack elevations and floor plans, says the company. Here, rack elevations will provide detailed rack layouts, while Jetbuilt will place all equipment into various rooms in a floorplan, along with wire pulling information.
