ATEN Calls its VM1600 the Fastest Matrix Switch in the Industry

ATEN’s latest matrix switch offers copyright protection, a choice of control protocols and the ability to route 16 A/V signals to up to 16 monitors.

ATEN Technologies manufactures a variety of signal management products, including matrix switches.

Adding to its selection of matrix switch products, ATEN has announced its VM1600 16×16 Modular Matrix Switch, which the company is calling the fastest matrix switch in the industry.

ATEN says the VM1600 can be used in a variety of installations that range from video walls to traffic control centers, and the matrix switch is backboned by its switching engine that combines a scaler and EDID technologies.

In addition, ATEN explains the product can switch as many as 16 sources to 16 different displays, and the product can be controlled via IR, RS-232 or IP browser.

The company adds that VM1600 can be expanded to accommodate the company’s line of hot-swappable ATEN I/O boards. Equipped with automatic signal conversion, this option allows any combination of digital video formats to be implemented.
