Samsung Electronics America has partnered with viral entertainment group Dude Perfect to bring display technology to their new, state-of-the-art DPHQ3 headquarters, an immersive creative space in Frisco, Texas, designed to power the next generation of content creation and collaboration.
Dude Perfect is a sports and comedy entertainment group made up of five friends: Tyler Toney, Coby Cotton, Cory Cotton, Garrett Hilbert and Cody Jones. What started as a simple backyard bet captured on a single camera has skyrocketed into a global phenomenon. With over 61 million subscribers and 18.5 billion views on YouTube, “the Dudes” have redefined family-friendly content, blending trick shots, sketches and larger-than-life challenges into well-known digital brands.
Designing the DPHQ3 Headquarters
When designing the DPHQ3 headquarters, the Dude Perfect team wanted a robust technology infrastructure to support content creation, editing and daily operations. Central to this vision was Samsung display technology, which the team selected to elevate the visitor experience while enhancing team collaboration and video production.
“We really wanted to up the production quality of the space,” says Coby Cotton, co-founder of Dude Perfect. “We wanted to create additional studios with more capability than before. Think massive LED backdrops, purposefully lit rooms, more space for athletes and celebrities to film with the Dudes — all aimed at expanding the range of content being produced and attracting more creators to the space.”
Bringing in The Wall
Greeting visitors as they enter DPHQ3 and situated prominently within the Dudes’ executive suite for seamless collaboration are The Wall All-in-One 146-inch 4K and The Wall All-in-One 110-inch 2K. These massive microLED screens deliver brightness, color accuracy and a visual experience that sets the tone at Dude Perfect’s headquarters.
The Wall is also customizable to display personalized welcome messages for guests, says Samsung. In the Dudes’ suite, The Wall enables high-impact presentations and creative, hands-on team meetings. Whether serving as a backdrop for filming or a collaborative screen for reviewing content, The Wall is both a creative powerhouse and a consistent showstopper for all who visit, the provider notes.
Behind the scenes, Samsung 34-inch ViewFinity S65TC Curved and 32-inch ViewFinity S8 4K monitors in the editing bays deliver ultra-high-definition resolution, true-to-life colors and exceptional detail. When editing videos, these displays reduce eye strain and fatigue by adjusting for brightness and color in real-time. This helps the team remain focused and comfortable, says Samsung. Editors can even directly access display feeds from other screens in the building, including The Wall. The Dudes also enjoy using Samsung Odyssey G6 monitors in the team’s racing rig setup.
A Purpose-Built Creative Hub
“DPHQ3 is more than just a corporate office — it’s a purpose-built creative hub for everything Dude Perfect produces,” says David Phelps, head of display, Samsung Electronics America. “From The Wall, which creates an engaging experience for both the team and visitors, to high-performance monitors that support precise editing, Samsung display technology plays a starring role throughout the space — and will hopefully make a future cameo in an epic trick shot.”
Throughout the headquarters — including the boardroom, meeting rooms, kitchen, and gym — Samsung 65-inch commercial displays and 98-inch business-grade digital signage keep the team informed and engaged. According to the company, the displays allows the team to share schedules, preview content before it goes live and anchor shared experiences like gaming sessions, sports events and team watch parties. Additional displays installed throughout the building effortlessly transition into dynamic wayfinding tools, offering clear and helpful navigation as guests and team members explore DPHQ3, states Samsung.
ZeeVee by Kramer Powers The AV-over-IP System
Dude Perfect also partnered with Texas-based integrator Clear ProAV, to design a system on an AV-over-IP architecture powered by ZeeVee by Kramer’s ZyPer4K-XS platform.
“The AV-over-IP setup has been a huge upgrade for our post-production workflow,” says Tim Holt, Dude Perfect’s VP of post-production. “With a team of seven-plus editors, I can pull up anyone’s feed from anywhere in the building, which makes reviews way faster and gives us more flexibility on where we watch cuts. The latency is basically zero, and the system just works.”
According to the team, at the core of the system is the ZyPer4K-XS platform, which delivers uncompressed 4K video over a 10Gb network. The distributed architecture replaces traditional matrix switchers. Each encoder and decoder act as a node on the network, making it easy to route signals between sources and displays without latency or degradation.
The network design includes:
- 30 ZeeVee ZyPer4K-XS Encoders
- 39 ZeeVee ZyPer4K-XS Decoders (both copper and fiber models)
- Two ZMP Servers for centralized management and redundancy
- Netgear AV switches, including models from the M4500, M4350 and M4250 series
The IP-based structure allows video from any source — including editing bays, Apple TVs, multiview processors and media players — to be distributed instantly to Samsung displays across the facility.
“Dude Perfect is constantly shooting, editing and reviewing footage in different areas of the building,” remarks Bruce O’Leary, partner at Clear ProAV. “It needed something dynamic and not hardwired for one purpose. AV-over-IP gave us that flexibility.”
Flexible Audio Distribution with Dante
While video takes center stage, the audio system is equally sophisticated, says the team at Dude Perfect. More than 250 channels of Dante audio are routed throughout the space, allowing for independent zone control and synchronized playback during live filming, editing sessions or content reviews. Key zones include basketball court and indoor football field, golf simulator and workout areas, lounge and content collaboration spaces and dozens of Samsung flat-panel displays and LED walls.
According to the team, ZyPer4K-XS’s native Dante support was a key factor. It enabled Clear ProAV to decouple audio from video and route it independently. This ensured that sound could be managed flexibly, whether for background music, production monitoring or live playback. The system also includes QSC Core 610 for centralized DSP, Extron IPCP 255Qxi processors for AV system control and MuxLab Bluetooth modules, Yamaha media players and Apple TV 4Ks across rooms.
“Our goal was to create a futureproof backbone that wouldn’t need reengineering every time the team tries something new,” explains O’Leary. “We were able to do that by giving the Dude Perfect team a flexible IP foundation and letting software handle the complexity.”
