Editor’s Note: During ISE 2026 earlier this month, Commercial Integrator sat down with LAIA Technologies North America to learn about its rapid growth in this market. Here, we present a short summary, as well as the full interview.

Red Fournier, vice president of technical services, LAIA Technologies NA, recently sat down with CI to discuss the company’s aggressive growth in the North American market. LAIA Technologies is, of course, an AI-powered audiovisual solutions provider catering to all environments. Its range includes HD and 4K cameras and AI-powered software.

During the interview, Fournier says, “It’s been growing nicely. We’re getting a lot of feedback from higher education, judicial [and] corporate environments for the solutions that we provide.”

LAIA Technologies North America: A Full-Blown Demo Lab

LAIA Technologies boasts a full demo lab in Fairfield, N.J., which regularly hosts integrators and consultants. “We have the capabilities of doing calls with all of our integrators, so they can actually show to the end users what the far-end experience would be like if they’re using our technologies,” Fournier says.

During the interview, Fournier discusses why higher education, in particular, is drawn to utilizing LAIA Technologies’ solutions. As he explains it, “LAIA is helping a lot of the design teams and the maintenance teams [do] more with less.” Fournier notes that LAIA’s PTZ camera solutions are multi-formats. “So,” he continues, “we have 3G-SDI outputs, we have HDMI outputs, USB outputs and then streaming outputs, where we can do NDI, SRT or RTSP — depending on what type of formats they want to use — all in one box.” This eliminates costly rip-and-replace cycles.

Later in the interview, Fournier and I recount my experience visiting the Fairfield demo lab, including the audio telemetry that allows LAIA cameras to find the right speaker, in the right location, at the right time. Moreover, Fournier dives into the optics that allow LAIA cameras to zoom in on, and capture with remarkable fidelity, fine type 30 feet from the camera itself.
