Catchbox, the company best known for its throwable microphones, is expanding its product lineup with a new addition designed for modern learning spaces. The Catchbox Hub now transforms from a wireless mic receiver into an audio processing Hub — delivering the power of a DSP, a 12-channel automixer and multi-platform connectivity in one compact, classroom-ready solution.

The new Catchbox Hub is the latest innovation within the Catchbox Plus wireless microphone system and was designed to be the central point in education spaces where audio complexity is growing — but budgets and human resources are not. With support for up to four Catchbox wireless mics and up to ten external audio sources over analog, USB and Dante, the Hub mixes, processes and routes audio for in-room amplification, conferencing, recording and assistive listening. The Catchbox Hub eliminates the need for an external DSP, says Catchbox, allowing AV designers to simplify their setup and reduce costs.

Catchbox Hub Features

Key features include the following:

  • Separate DSP paths for a smooth in-room and video conferencing audio experience, with smart features like feedback suppression, auto-leveling, echo reduction and more.
  • Flexible input options, supporting up to 4 Catchbox wireless microphones, 4 analog sources and 4×4 Dante channels for mixing and processing external sources like third-party mic systems.
  • Custom-configurable output mixes for assistive listening, recording and conferencing.
  • USB integration for seamless connection with software platforms like Zoom, MS Teams or lecture capture tools.
  • Centralized control and monitoring software for campus-wide AV scalability (coming soon).

“The reality is that classroom audio needs have outgrown traditional solutions,” says Mikelis Studers, CEO of Catchbox. “The new Hub allows institutions to do more with less — reducing hardware, simplifying design and giving AV teams total control at scale.”

Catchbox Plus is designed with user convenience in mind, offering versatile microphone options for different needs. The Clip mic provides hands-free audio without complicated wires or setup, while the Stick mic offers a traditional handheld solution for presenters. The Cube throwable mic enhances audience interaction in engaging ways. All microphones are equipped with Catchbox’s reliable charging system, built for durability and ease of use, along with a range alarm to help ensure microphones are always accounted for.

Catchbox’s expanded product line offers an efficient and cost-effective classroom audio solution. The new Hub within the Catchbox Plus simplifies complex setups, supporting ceiling mics, media player integration and simultaneous voice lift with far-end audio. This easy-to-use system is designed to meet the needs of modern classrooms, even as AV budgets tighten, says Catchbox.

Catchbox will showcase the enhanced Catchbox Plus system, now featuring the all-in-one Hub, at InfoComm 2025. Visit Catchbox at Booth 4375 to explore how this solution simplifies classroom audio, lowers equipment costs and maximizes efficiency without sacrificing performance.

The new Catchbox Hub will begin shipping on June 2, 2025.
