Ping HD Partners with Adcorp360 to Drive Supermarket Advertising Network Through EngagePHD

Published: 2018-03-20

Ping HD today announced that Adcorp360 is rolling out Ping HD’s EngagePHD content management platform on System on a Chip (SoC) digital signage displays from Samsung.

Adcorp360 selected the EngagePHD digital signage content management software to power synchronized advertising content across multiple SoC displays located at the point of purchase at about 2,500 grocery stores across the U.S. in the long-term rollout. [related]

EngagePHD is built around 32-inch Samsung Smart Signage Platform (SSP) SoC commercial displays, which “eliminates the need for any external media players or onsite servers and reducing the number of potential failure points,” according to the PingHD press announcement.

Each screen is connected to the Internet wirelessly through a router over a cellular network and the content is synchronized across all screens.

Typically, grocery customers will see eight to 12 displays in each of the 100 stores implemented so far, with a display located at each of the checkouts.

“This is another commercially proven example of the performance, flexibility and simplicity of SoC based display technology,” says Ping HD chief technology officer Kevin Goldsmith.

“Adcorp360 understands the cost vs. ROI model in advertising and that lowering your total cost of ownership will allow participation of additional store locations.”

“Ping HD has been instrumental in helping design the supermarket advertising network architecture for our business model as we expand from print based advertising to digital signage-based advertising,” says Adcorp CTO Ed Greenberg.

“Ping HD’s development approach, short sprint cycles and customer involvement in new features has resulted in a software platform that delivers everything we need.

“The Ping HD team has implemented every request we have had to refine and enhance the functional and ergonomic aspects of their terrific cloud-based interface, which our team uses on PCs, laptops, phones and tablets, to post new content, while installing new stores or monitoring our growing supermarket advertising network.

“The software gurus at Ping HD are now creating a new, dynamic structure to handle our national advertisers and they are laying the groundwork for what may be the first ever, universal bridge to programmatic feeds. We could not have grown so fast without them.”
