Weston, Fla.-based Stat AV has appointed industry veteran Jay Jones, CTS, to the position of director of strategic alliances. Elle Aviv, co-founder of Stat AV, made the announcement. Aviv also emphasizes Stat AV’s ongoing expansion in the pro AV industry.
Per a statement, Jones enters his new role at the company with significant experience spanning more than 30 years in systems integration and technology design. Here, he has led teams of all sizes in the audiovisual industry.
In his new position, Jones will work closely with various stakeholders to support vendor management. This role will act as the primary integration point for category management, marketing, rebate programs, cost file management, and compare contracts and identify areas of opportunities to improve business terms and overall business transactions with suppliers.
Additionally, Jones will work alongside several cross-functional teams to take the strategy and plan through to execution. He will ultimately be responsible for the management, execution and expansion of assigned strategic alliance partners for Stat AV. The primary focus is on cultivating the alliance relationship and execution across all divisions with preferred vendor partners.

Start of a New Journey
Prior to joining Stat AV, Jones was director of procurement at Audio Visual Design Group and Electrosonic. In this role, he established procurement standards, overseeing the management of multiple teams based in several locations. These include London, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Boston. He was also the founder of AVMAN, an audiovisual integrator, from 2001 to 2019. Here, he served as the chief executive officer until its acquisition.
