What did Lindy announce?

Lindy expanded its free training platform with a new AVIXA-accredited module focused on modern collaboration and connectivity workflows in professional AV environments.

The company says the sessions also contribute CTS credits toward renewal and professional development for Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) professionals.

Lindy Academy is available through free registration at thelindyacademy.com.

What does the new training cover?

The training covers practical topics used in professional AV and IT installations, including cabling and signal management, AV-over-IP (AVoIP) and HDBaseT fundamentals.

According to Lindy, each course has been developed by its connectivity experts and focuses on practical, real-world problem solving rather than theory alone. Even complex technical challenges are explained in a clear and easily understandable way, supported by illustrations and visual examples that help learners quickly grasp concepts and apply them in real installation scenarios.

Who can access Lindy Academy?

Lindy Academy is free, on-demand and available globally across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Users can complete courses at their own pace. Upon completion, participants receive a Lindy certificate recognizing their achievement and professional development.

What did participants and company leaders say?

Isaac Anderson, business development manager at Midwich UK,  describes Lindy Academy as “an excellent deep dive into the different kinds of cable types and deployment best practices” and adds that he is “eager to dive into the Level 2 curriculum next.”

“We’ve built the Lindy Academy to close the gap between technology and understanding,” says Michael O’Connor, head of global marketing at Lindy Group. “Our goal is to empower installers, technicians, and system integrators with knowledge they can use immediately on site — concise, relevant, and backed by decades of Lindy expertise.”

Owen Haigh, head of global product management at Lindy Group, says, “AV and IT technologies evolve quickly. The professionals who keep up will define the industry’s future. The Lindy Academy is our contribution to that future — a free resource that supports the entire connectivity ecosystem.”

What comes next for the program?

Lindy plans to launch Level 2 training, and the first Level 2 module will be USB-C Deep Dive.

The upcoming module will provide a deeper look at USB-C technology, its capabilities and real-world integration challenges. The new Level 1 module was added as part of a broader effort to expand content in response to changing AV and IT industry needs.
