The popularity of smart devices from companies like Apple, Samsung, LG and others are well documented, and as the cellular service market continues to push these products to consumers to generate revenues their usage will only increase.
The Skinny: The newly announced LiteShow 4 from InFocus Corporation enables computer and smart device owners to wirelessly transmit digital content to projectors and displays.
The Specs: The Portland, Ore.-based company says the LiteShow 4 is the latest version of the product and it adds functions such as 1080p resolution output capabilities, HDMI connectivity and Microsoft’s MirrorOp app.
InFocus says the product connects to displays and projectors via VGA or HDMI and once connected, the unit creates a 150Mbps wireless access point (WAP) with a range up to 300 feet. The LiteShow 4 works with Windows and Mac computers, and a variety of mobile devices.

“It’s unrealistic for businesses to keep every kind of connector cable on hand with people using so many different kinds of devices. Lite Show 4 is a wireless alternative,” notes Robert Detwiler, product marketing manager, InFocus. “Content doesn’t just come from computers anymore; many of today’s collaboration devices are found in pockets and purses. LiteShow 4 makes it easy to share content from those devices as well.”
InFocus adds the LiteShow 4 also offers options such as its QuadView feature that enables as many as four devices to simultaneously wirelessly share content, and its Moderator options allows hosts to control which devices content is displayed.
Solutions: The LiteShow 4 from InFocus can be used in boardrooms, classrooms, and other settings in which digital content is displayed.
