Just Add Power on AVoIP Network Convergence
In an exclusive video interview with Commercial Integrator, Jeff Terzo, business development at Just Add Power, walks through the two trends he’s watching most closely. The first is network convergence.
“A lot of these IT staffs are coming with our core network and saying, ‘Well, I already have the infrastructure. How do we use that? We don’t want separate switches and separate cables and that type of thing,'” he says.
The second trend centers on hospitality. Terzo notes that bars and restaurants that once got by with set-top boxes behind displays are running into streaming latency and sync problems around content like “NFL Sunday Ticket.”
Just Add Power’s answer to both trends starts with specialization. “First and foremost, we are strictly an AV-over-IP company,” Terzo explains. “So, we’re not an everything to everybody [kind of company].” That singular focus supports control system agnosticism, giving integrators the freedom to use whatever programming environment they’re already comfortable with. It also underpins a longstanding backward compatibility commitment. “All of the devices we make are backward compatible in that function,” he says. That ensures that no earlier investment gets left behind.
Later in the conversation, Terzo mentions that Just Add Power recently launched PowerTools, a learning management system built around AVoIP education. It also ships demo kits for proof-of-concept testing and hosts one-on-one webinars tailored to specific projects and deployments.
