Display manufacturer Planar has released its Lifestyle Displays, which it calls a combination of large-scale LED displays and installation services designed for large indoor luxury spaces.
The new series of displays from the Portland, Ore.-based firm include the ultra-fine Planar pitch Luxe MicroLED display and the Planar Luxe for large-scale, fine pitch LED displays.
According to Planar, both are designed to bring seamless video performance while providing a complete package aimed at enriching luxury spaces, with use cases including digital artwork, movies, sports, events, gaming, eSports, streaming, multi-window viewing and videoconferencing.
The company says the Luxe MicroLED displays “deliver the highest resolutions, are HDR-ready and feature high brightness, deep blacks and superior contrast for unparalleled visual performance.” They are available in 4K 108-inch, 136-inch, 163-inch and 8K 217-inch sizes, and include the display, wall mount, powerful video controller with remote processing, remote control, display trim and cables.
Meanwhile, the Luxe LED displays come in Full HD 109-inch, 137-inch, Full HD or 4K 164-inch, Double Full HD wide-view 198-inch and 4K 219-inch sizes. In addition to featuring the largest displays in the Planar Lifestyle Displays family, Planar Luxe supports multi-source viewing, offers an installation depth of less than four inches and is designed for 24×7 reliability. Planar Luxe includes the display, wall mount, video controller, remote control, display trim and cables, the company says.

Both displays are designed to integrate with architectural elements and complement interior décor and can support use cases in both brightly lit spaces and dark, theater-like environments, the company says.
The company also announced Planar Elite Technical Services, a new installation comprised of qualified and trained professionals that also includes fine tuning displays.
