The active LS801P subwoofer incorporates cast-frame 18-inch driver with a rear-loaded bass-horn enclosure that is capable of producing up to 140dB peak SPL levels. Yorkville says the subwoofer features a 15mm Birch ply cabinet that’s available in a choice of black carpeting or black Ultrathane, and internally, the company uses a 1,500-watt amplifier that’s capable of producing 2,500 watts of peak power. Other features built into the LS801P subwoofer include paralleled XLR and ¼-inch selectable line or speaker level inputs, and a plus/minus 12dB level control to help match the sub’s output to the rest of an audio system. www.yorkville.com
