DisplayNote Technologies announced it will be working with Ricoh, the global digital workplace solutions provider. DisplayNote Technologies, is, of course, the Belfast, Ireland-based wireless casting and video transmission provider. The collaboration brings DisplayNote’s bring your own meeting (BYOM) software, to Ricoh’s interactive whiteboards (IWBs). These include Ricoh collaboration board models W5500,W6500 and W7500. The BYOM technology will come preinstalled and fully embedded in Ricoh Collaboration Board models W5500, W6500 and W7500, offering users a unified solution for wireless casting and videoconferencing.
How it Works
The system enables users to enhance their conferencing experience by following a simple process. First, it identifies BYOM-enabled devices across the network, even across different subnets. Once detected, users can wirelessly connect their laptops to the room’s hardware, including displays, cameras, microphones and speakers. This connection allows them to initiate any call directly from their laptop while utilizing the room’s equipment as if it were physically connected to their device.
Seamless Collaboration with DisplayNote BYOM on Ricoh Boards
The integration offers several advantages, including the ability to use existing videoconferencing tools with the room’s AV equipment for improved conferencing experiences. It also supports wireless casting, allowing seamless laptop connections to Ricoh displays for efficient screen sharing. Additionally, the preinstalled BYOM on Ricoh devices ensures a straightforward, plug-and-play setup.
Ed Morgan, CEO of DisplayNote Technologies, says, “This integration enables smooth hybrid meetings, where personal devices and room equipment work together in perfect harmony. The combined expertise of DisplayNote Technologies and Ricoh creates an exceptional solution for workplaces embracing hybrid and flexible working models. By leveraging the strengths of DisplayNote’s BYOM technology and Ricoh Collaboration Board W5500/W6500/W7500, organizations can unlock new levels of collaboration and connectivity.”
