Lightware Enhances Taurus Platform with NIST-Certified Crypto Models

Lightware, the global provider of signal management solutions, released new variants of its Taurus product family, now featuring the FIPS 140-2-validated Lightware Crypto Cores (LCC).

Available in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and the EU., this latest enhancement underscores Lightware’s commitment to providing high-security solutions designed to meet the stringent requirements of sensitive industries such as government, defense, finance and healthcare.

The FIPS 140-2 standard, developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), sets forth security requirements for cryptographic modules. The new Taurus models come with FIPS 140-2 crypto modules inside that are fully compliant with this federal standard. By handling secure key management, data integrity, data-at-rest encryption, and secure communications through a trusted implementation it offers validated cryptographic protection to safeguard sensitive data across AV and IT networks.

Lightware’s Taurus product family, now equipped with FIPS 140-2 validated encryption, provides a secure and efficient solution for operational and mission-critical environments.
